As many of you know we were rained off in August but we will be holding the competition element of the Battle of Bugs on the 1-3rd October. This is the same weekend as the International Mountainboard Film festival and also the ATBA AGM. The film festival was very popular last year and we are pretty sure it will be better still this year.

There will be a weekend rate of £20. For those who entered the Battle of Bugs in August only a camping rate will apply and riding will be free. For those wishing to just come to the film festival the price will be £3. For any further information please call us.

The weather did not play ball for the weekend. It rained non stop all Friday night and Saturday morning drenching the jumps. We moved the event till Sunday knowing the jumps would only need a few hours of sun first thing in the morning to dry out but it never happened. What had been fine dust earlier in the week was now just sticky mud.

We will run the competition on the 2nd of October before having the mountainboarding film festival in the evening.

This is the yearly showdown everyone has been waiting for with the top freestyle riders from across the globe coming to battle it out on what is set to be the most demanding freestyle completion yet to be crowned the World Champion.

‘Battle of Bugs’ World Freestyle Championships will be held on the 29th / 30th August.
It is not a night freestyle. There will be qualifiers and finals ran on the same day or over the two days weather permitting, it could be Saturday and Sunday, again depending on the weather forecast and which days and times will be the best conditions to run it.

Bugsboarding Centre will be open the week before the event for anyone wanting to ride on the run up to the event. It also falls on a bank holiday weekend and will stay open on the Monday for those of you who would like to make a long weekend of it.
